How MyNigerianGuide works
A directory you can act on. Find a business, keep the good ones, talk to them directly, and say how it went, so the next person finds them faster.
It runs as a circle
Each step feeds the next. What you do makes it better for the person after you.
- 1SearchSay what you need and where.
- 2FollowKeep the ones you trust.
- 3TalkMessage, ask, arrange.
- 4ReviewSay how it went.
- 5Better for everyoneGood businesses rise to the top.
Then back to 1. Your reviews and follows help decide what the next person sees first.
Search
Type what you need and where. Travelling from Lagos to Abuja? Search Abuja before you land.
Discover
For when you aren't looking for anything in particular. It puts the interests you chose first.
Following
Follow a business and its posts come to you. Only the ones you chose, newest first.
Messages
Ask before you travel: price, opening hours, whether it's in stock. You talk to the business directly.
Reviews
Written by people with accounts. A business can reply to a review, but it can't remove it.
Verified
A green tick means the business proved it is registered. It is checked, never bought.
Where sponsorship fits
A business can pay to appear at the top of a list. When it does, it is marked Sponsored, every time.
What money can do
Put a business in front of more people, in a place that says so.
What money can't do
Buy a green tick, change a rating, remove a review, or hide that it's an advert.
If you run a business
A page is free. Say what you do in the words customers search for, list your services and products, and get verified. Post updates, and the people following you see them.
Data sources
To show businesses near you, MNG uses the boundaries of Nigeria's 774 local government areas from GRID3, shared under CC BY 4.0.
We changed the data: we work out the middle point of each area. GRID3 does not endorse MNG.
